Blind Assessment
Fresh-cut pine, herb and a rounding hint of raisiny dark chocolate in aroma and cup. Muted, herby acidity; full, syrupy mouthfeel. Sweet-toned though simple finish.
Notes
Decaffeinated by the "Swiss Water Process" method, which does not involve use of solvents. Regular Coffee is a specialty coffee company based in Grand Rapids, Michigan that specializes in bringing consumers a good cup of coffee at a good price without fuss, hyperbole, or fancy packaging. The tall 24-ounce can wrapped in a kraft paper label with plain black lettering drives the point home. Regular sells its coffees on a no-commitment subscription basis. The purchase price includes shipping.
Who Should Drink It
The impact of decaffeination drains aromatics from this solid, good-value coffee, but leaves a pleasingly full, syrupy mouthfeel and a fresh, woody sweetness.
