Blind Assessment
Dark chocolate and sweet, pungent grapefruit in aroma and cup, with a backgrounded gently scorched cedar. Rich, roast-rounded acidity; lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Some flavor persists in a sweet but drying finish.
Notes
Rwanda's impressive potential as fine coffee producer has come to fruition over the last several years owing to the industry of its growers, generous support from international aid agencies, and the commitment of North American specialty coffee roasters. Canterbury Coffee is Western Canada’s largest specialty roaster, with a wide range of coffee brands including Spirit Bear, Resiprocate and Doi Chaang. This is one of Canterbury’s Signature coffees. Who Should Drink It
Fine moderately dark-roasted Rwanda, with the pungent, grapefruit notes and rich chocolate that coffees from the largely Bourbon variety plantings of Rwanda take on when deftly brought to a medium-dark roast like this one.
