Blind Assessment
Crisp, deeply sweet. Cacao nib, honeysuckle, dried apricot, fresh-cut fir, agave syrup in aroma and cup. Sweet-tart structure with pert acidity; full, satiny mouthfeel. The richly drying finish centers around cocoa-toned date notes and sweetly pungent fir.
Notes
Produced by RWACOF Mushonyi, entirely from trees of the Red Bourbon variety of Arabica and processed at the privately owned Mushonyi Washing Station. This is a wet-processed or “washed” coffee, meaning the fruit skin and pulp were removed from the beans immediately after harvesting and before drying. The company name Amavida combines the Spanish words for “love” and “life,” reflecting Amavida’s multifaceted commitment to fairness and fine coffee. Bottom Line
A sweet-toned Rwanda cup with pretty floral and stone fruit notes throughout.
