Blind Assessment
Elegant, berry-toned, richly sweet. Blackberry coulis, elderflower, cacao nib, candycap mushroom, frankincense in aroma and cup. Sweet-tart structure with vibrant, juicy acidity; plush, syrupy mouthfeel. Rich, resonant finish that leads with blackberry and frankincense in the short, rounding to floral-toned cocoa in the long.
Notes
Produced by RWACOF Mushonyi, entirely from trees of the Red Bourbon variety of Arabica, this is a dry-processed or “natural” coffee, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit has been removed, as is the case with wet-processed or “washed” coffees. The company name Amavida combines the Spanish words for “love” and “life,” reflecting Amavida’s multifaceted commitment to fairness and fine coffee. Bottom Line
A fine Rwanda natural: clean, bright, juicy, mesmerizing.
