Blind Assessment
A coffee distinguished more by a gently pungent, quiet richness than by any aromatic complexity. Restrained acidity, silky mouthfeel. Dark chocolate and nut hints carry from aroma through cup to the particularly sweet finish.
Notes
This coffee is certified organically grown and Fair-Trade certified, meaning it was purchased from small-holding farmers at a "fair" or economically sustainable price. A special purchase from the Chajulense cooperative of 1,600 indigenous farmers in Guatemala's Quiche Department, this is one of Green Mountain's "Special Reserve" series of select small lots of seasonally available coffees. Keurig/Green Mountain, formerly Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, pioneered single-serve capsule brewing in the United States with its Keurig brewing system, and remains one of the country’s leading large specialty roasters, offering a particularly wide-ranging variety of origins and roast styles.
