Blind Assessment
Delicately sweet-savory. Lychee, hyacinth, Chinese five-spice, almond, cedar in aroma and cup. Sweet-savory structure with brisk acidity; velvety mouthfeel. Spice-toned finish with notes of Chinese five-spice supported by almond and cedar.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers in the Kerinci Valley surrounding Seblat National Park and processed by the honey method (skins are removed but at least some of the sticky fruit flesh is allowed to dry on the beans). RamsHead Coffee Roasters is a family-owned company founded by Bozeman, Montana natives Caleb and Laura Walker, specializing in direct trade microlot coffees. Bottom Line
A honey-processed Sumatra cup that leads with tropical fruit notes with undertones of savory-leaning spices.
