Blind Assessment
Richly sweet-savory, deeply aromatic. Black currant, cocoa nib, pink peppercorn, lilac, sandalwood in aroma and cup. Sweet-savory structure with high-toned acidity; viscous, satiny mouthfeel. Resonant, umami-leaning finish with notes of pink peppercorn and sandalwood.
Notes
Produced by smallholding farmers of the Gayo 1, Gayo 2, P88, Abyssinia, and Ateng Super varieties of Arabica and and processed by the wet, or washed, method. Bottom Line
A washed-process Sumatra with engaging high-toned fruit and complex spice tones not typical of the usual wet-hulled coffees produced in this region. Drink it for its originality and its intrigue.
