Blind Assessment
Deeply sweet, pleasantly herb-toned. Baking chocolate, spearmint, maple syrup, freesia, hazelnut in aroma and cup. Richly bittersweet structure with brisk acidity; crisp, lightly syrupy mouthfeel. The resonant, nut-toned finish centers around notes of baking chocolate and hazelnut.
Notes
Certified organic. Produced entirely from trees of the Typica variety of Arabica. A washed-process coffee (fruit is removed before drying). Hala Tree Coffee is a family-owned organic Kona coffee farm located near Captain Cook village, in the heart of the Kona coffee belt, overlooking historic Kealakekua Bay. The 100% Kona Coffee produced on this USDA organic-certified property is processed and roasted on site to ensure quality. For more information, visit www.halatreecoffee.com.
Bottom Line
A deftly medium roasted Kona Typica with pleasing chocolate notes and undercurrents of sweet, spearmint-like herbs and spice-toned florals.
