Blind Assessment
Richly bittersweet, deep-toned. Tangerine zest, cocoa nib, pineapple kefir, brown sugar, cedar in aroma and cup. Brightly sweet-tart structure with vibrant acidity; crisp, lightly satiny mouthfeel. Cocoa-toned finish with notes of tangerine and brown sugar.
Notes
Produced in the Bugisu Region of Uganda near Mt. Elgon, from trees of the SL14 and SL28 varieties of Arabica, and processed by the anaerobic natural method, in which the whole fruit is fermented in an oxygen-free environment before drying. GK Coffee is a nano-roastery in Yilan, Taiwan, that offers both retail and wholesale coffee. For more information, visit www.gkcoffee.com.tw or email [email protected].
Bottom Line
An inviting anaerobic natural Uganda with throughlines of citrus zest and cocoa, complicated by a lactic tang.
