Blind Assessment
Crisp, sweet, delicate. Fir, cocoa, macadamia, jasmine, lemon in aroma and cup. Sweetly bright and high-toned in structure, silky mouthfeel. Flavor consolidates in a quiet finish.
Notes
Produced at Finca Vista Hermosa by the family of Edwin Martinez from trees of the rare Marago-Pache variety, a cross between the very large-beaned Maragogype and Pache, a compact-growing Typica mutant. Processed by the traditional washed method. Torque Coffee has an unusual business model that promises 20 percent of the retail value of each coffee to its producer. Bottom Line
Classic aroma and svelte, balanced structure distinguish this coffee, from a roaster focused both on distinctive coffees and equity for the producers of those coffees.
