Ron Walters founded the Coffee Review with Kenneth Davids in 1997. Ron pioneered and helped popularize the concept of 100-point ratings and reviews in the specialty coffee industry. He remains active at the Coffee Review, managing and promoting the company’s website. He does not participate in the evaluation or rating of coffees.
In the late 1990’s, Ron also founded GreatCoffee.com, an early online coffee retailer. He currently manages day-to-day operations of Great Coffees of America, which owns and operates several coffee websites.
For the past two decades, Ron has been active as an entrepreneurial management consultant, helping develop and implement strategies and business plans for senior executives of client companies ranging from start-ups to international conglomerates.
Ron lives with his wife Tonya and four dogs in Portland, Oregon. He is active in a variety of sports includes running, golfing, and remodeling an old Victorian. He enjoys travel, cooking, and fine wine and spirits. In a pinch, he can speak Spanish.
